Iran Wins First Asian Cycling Gold

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) – Iran snatched its first gold medal in the 23rd Asian Seniors' Cycling Championships in South Korea Tuesday as Hossein Asgari stood top in the time trial event.
Asgari pedaled 43.4km in 54:27.68 minutes, snatching the glittering gold.
The silver and bronze medals went to Vietnamese and Japanese cyclists with 55:44.48 and 56:44.48 minutes respectively.
Cyclist from South Korea, Vietnam, China, Macau, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, Japan, and Iran competed in the time trial race.
Representing Iran in the youth competitions, Mohammad Rajabloo took a bronze medal in the individual time trial as he pedaled 21.5km in 28:55.17 minutes.
A South Korean competitor snatched the coveted gold, clocking 28:19.25 minutes and a cyclist from Mongolia won the silver with a 28:19.52-minute time.
